In Case of a Tie.... Break Glass
April 22nd, 2025 Newsletter

Knotted up?
In the case we have a tie for the WSOP points race or for second place, here is the way it will play out:
Hopefully (I'm wearing my club hat right now), we will have a clear cut winner and second place and the payouts can proceed as normal. However, if not.....
If we have a clear cut winner and a tie for second we will, of course, award the WSOP package to the winner and the $900 for second place will be divided among those tied for second. These players would get their percentage of entries to the $500 drawing divided by the number of ppl who split the $900. So lets say player B and Player C tie for second place. They shared the same number of points so, therfore, the same number of potential entries. Let's say 31 points each. Each would be awarded $450 and they would each get 15 entries into the drawing (rounded half of 31 down). This way, there would not be any extra chance for those persons to win the drawing than say one had finished second outright and the third place had gotten all 31 of their entries in. Hopefully this makes sense to the group.
Now lets take the scenario that there is a tie up top. Well, in this case, the two (or three) on top and myself would meet and find an equitable solution. However, there WILL be a person or persons responsible for $2000 worth of WSOP bracelet event buyins. If this person or persons fails to meet that condition, the remainder of $2000 that is not spent on meeting these conditions will be returned to the pool for the 2026 pool.
Everyone have that? I hope so. If you don't understand, let me know by responding to this email and I'll see if I can clear it up.

A 3 bet is a reraise of the first raiser. The term has nothing to do with sizing.

This is the bag and form you fill out at the end of the day. This bag will be at your new table and seat when you get assigned for day 2.
