In April of 2000, during the peak of covid boredom, my close friend Sean started this game to give us something to do on Tuesdays and Thursdays (yes it was twice a week for a short time). The first game was only 5 players over a zoom call.  We all loved poker and it was something fun to do.   The game grew to consistently host 9 or so players but stayed at that level for a year or so.  Typically we paid only first and second place back in those days.
